Aktivate Appoints Adrian Martinez as Chief Revenue Officer to Accelerate Next-Stage Growth
Leader in K–12 sports management strengthens executive team to drive expansion across registration, fundraising, and communication.
New York, NY — October 20, 2025 — Aktivate, the leader in K–12 athletics management and fundraising, today announced the appointment of Adrian Martinez as Chief Revenue Officer (CRO). The hire comes during a period of rapid company growth, including a 200% increase in fundraising activity over the past year. Martinez joins from Trace, an AI video highlights platform in youth sports, where he led sales and go-to-market operations following prior leadership roles at Stack Sports and Cengage Learning.
Aktivate is the only platform purpose-built for the full life cycle of middle and high school athletics. Serving thousands of schools nationwide, the company has quickly become the operating system for school sports—centralizing registration, scheduling, communication, and fundraising to help athletic departments save time, maintain compliance, and generate more financial support for student-athletes.
As CRO, Martinez will oversee all revenue functions, including direct sales, channel strategy, partnerships, and customer expansion.
“Adrian has built and led high-performing GTM teams in both youth sports and edtech—exactly where we operate,” said Hesky Kutscher, CEO of Aktivate. “With the rapid adoption of our fundraising platform, Aktivate FR, this is the perfect moment to add a leader who has proven he can scale.”
Martinez brings more than a decade of sales leadership and GTM experience. At Trace, he rose from founding AE to VP of Sales, expanding enterprise partnerships across clubs and schools. He previously drove new business at Stack Sports and managed key B2B accounts at Cengage Learning. Martinez holds a B.A. in Communication and an M.A. in Coaching & Athletic Administration from Concordia University Irvine and is based in Austin, Texas.
“Aktivate sits at the center of school sports operations—where compliance, payments, and communication come together,” Martinez said. “With Aktivate FR powering our next stage of growth, the opportunity to deliver massive value to athletic departments is undeniable. I’m excited to help scale this mission.”
For the past five years, Aktivate has championed athletic directors, coaches, and school communities by streamlining operations and unlocking new fundraising capacity—so coaches can focus on developing student-athletes. Every product the company builds supports a singular mission: to elevate youth sports and ensure every student has the opportunity to participate.
